If you’re wondering whether TC Electronic Drip Spring Reverb is worth it or not, don’t worry – you’ve come to the right place! I’ve been using this pedal for a few months now and I feel like I’m in a good spot to share my thoughts with you. It’s a really popular and inexpensive pedal, but is it actually the best choice out there?
Absolutely! TC Electronic Drip Spring Reverb features a really nice and deep reverb, which should work well in a wide range of genres. In addition, the pedal is quite affordable and it features a really solid and durable construction. Undoubtedly, it’s a must-have pedal for any lover of spring reverb!

My Experience With The TC Electronic Drip Pedal
As I mentioned earlier, I added this pedal to my collection a couple of months ago. I was looking for a good and reliable spring reverb effect and I stumbled upon this model by TC Electronic. Since I’ve had some good experiences with their gear in the past, I decided to get it.
I have to admit that it was a really good choice and I’m still using it very frequently. It works very well in indie and alternative rock music. In addition, it’s really simple to use and although it has only three knobs, it still gives you access to a lot of cool spring reverb sounds.
When it comes to tone, it reminds me of a classic spring reverb that was included in some of the vintage amps from the ’60s and ’70s. If you like that kind of vibe, you should definitely enjoy using the Drip pedal. It sounds awesome especially when you spice things up and add a few other pedals or tremolo!
It is also worth mentioning that the quality of materials used for this effect is really good. Honestly, the pedal is built like a brick. It’s quite heavy and it takes a lot of space in the pedalboard, but still – it won’t break easily. Undoubtedly, it should last you for years to come.

TC Electronic Drip vs Skysurfer
For those who don’t know, TC Electronic also offers the Skysurfer pedal, which also features the spring reverb. Because of that, a lot of people are struggling whether they should choose the Drip or Skysurfer.
Which one is better? Well, it’s not an easy question. Overall, the Skysurfer will be a good choice for guitarists who are looking for a lot of versatility when it comes to tone. It features three different types of reverb (plate, hall and spring), so it gives you access to a wider pool of sounds.
On the other hand, the Drip model doesn’t include any other types of reverb, but it has a way better spring reverb tone. So if you’re specifically looking for that reverb type, you should probably stick with the Drip effect.
Other Alternatives
If you’re not satisfied with the sound of this reverb pedal, there is a few good alternatives out there.
Firstly, you should definitely check out the Fender Marine Layer Reverb. Although it’s a bit more expensive, it features a lot of different types of reverb. In addition, it looks awesome from the outside and it has some really cool LED lights. I used that pedal in the past and I can totally recommend it to anyone who’s looking for versatile tone.
Other pedals worth checking out are TC Electronic Hall Of Fame and MXR Reverb. They also offer some really cool reverb sounds, but unfortunately – they’re more expensive.
Nevertheless, I think that if you’re specifically looking for the spring reverb, the Drip pedal should be more than enough. It does the job and it’s not overly expensive – who needs anything else?

As you can see, TC Electronic Drip Spring Reverb is a really interesting guitar pedal. Undoubtedly, it will be a great choice even for the most demanding guitarists out there.
