Specs & Pricing

IVY IJZ-300

IVY IJZ-300 TSB is a cheap semi-hollow body made by Inyen Vina Guitars, a company from Vietnam. Although it’s not a well-known brand, they managed to create a guitar which can easily compete with more expensive guitars made by much more reputable brands.

What makes it so cool? Well, the guitar features a mahogany top, maple back and sides and a comfortable mahogany neck. It’s a pretty heavy guitar. It’s also equipped with a pair of two humbucking pickups, which offer a really nice and versatile tone that can be used for a lot of different styles of music.

The guitar is made with a real attention to detail and it certainly doesn’t feel cheap. This model proves that not all guitars that come from the Eastern Asia are bad! It’s available in a fantastic Tobacco Sunburst color.

When it comes to pricing, this is one of the cheapest semi-hollow body guitars that you can find on the market. It’s cheap, but it’s definitely worth the money. That’s for sure!

Here’s a quick video review and sound demo.

Who Is It For?

IVY IJZ-300 is suitable for all-level guitarists. It doesn’t really matter whether you’re an intermediate musician or not – you will definitely see and appreciate the surprisingly good quality of that cheap guitar.

The IJZ-300 model will be a particularly good choice for anyone who wants to get their first semi-hollow body guitar.

If you want to start your own musical journey and you don’t want to spend too much money on new gear, choosing this guitar will be an excellent choice for you.

At the same time, this is also a really versatile guitar, so it can be used not only for jazz music. It’s also perfect for rock, blues, country and many more!

Overall, I’m positive that the vast majority of guitar players will really enjoy playing on that cheap guitar. There’s just not much to complain about, especially when you consider how inexpensive it is.

Pros & Cons

Just like any other guitar available on the market, IVY IJZ-300 has its own advantages and disadvantages. But to be honest, it’s really difficult to find any major cons of that model. However, it’s all really subjective!

Pros

  • Cheap Price
  • Surprisingly Good Quality
  • Beautiful Finish
  • Comfortable Neck
  • No Problems With Setup

Cons

  • No Case Included
  • You May Want To Put Some Better Strings On It

As you can see, the IJZ-300 model has a lot of great advantages. It sounds great, it feels great and it’s pretty cheap – isn’t it all that matters in the end? Unlike other cheap guitars made by other manufacturers, it also comes with a great setup, so that’s an another massive advantage.

When it comes to disadvantages, the guitar is usually sold without a gig bag, so you’ll have to get it separately.

It’s not a massive issue, but it’d be great to have it included along with the guitar.

Additionally, the IJZ-300 has a set of pretty basic strings, so putting a brand new set (you could try the Elixir strings), will be a fantastic idea. It will significantly improve the tone of that guitar.

Apart from that, there’s just nothing to complain about! How can you argue with a guitar that offers such a high quality? Undoubtedly, the advantages of that model outweigh the disadvantages of that guitar.

It’s a bit more expensive than IVY IJZ-300, but at the same time it’s way cheaper than the Rat Rod mentioned earlier. Undoubtedly, this is one of the coolest hollow body guitars made by Ibanez!
