The Pelt is a great sounding and affordable silicon fuzz pedal made by Fender. This particular effect proves that this legendary manufacturer of guitars really knows how to make amazing guitar pedals!

The pedal features a simple and durable construction with four knobs (Level, Tone, Bloom, Fuzz) and two switches (Mid and Thick). All of these controls give you access to a really wide range of different guitar tones. Whether you want to cut the mids or add some girth to your sound, this pedal will do the job!

It is also worth mentioning that The Pelt looks fantastic from the outside as well. Just like all the other Fender pedals, it’s really solid and lightweight. On top of that, the LED-backlit knobs make it really easy to use during live performances in dark rooms.

When it comes to pricing, it’s affordable. It’s not a cheap pedal, but it definitely looks and sounds like something from the higher shelf. It’s definitely much better than all the inexpensive effects made by unknown brands from China and Indonesia.

Disadvantages Of Fender The Pelt

It’s really tough to find any major disadvantages of Fender The Pelt fuzz pedal. You either love it or hate it! So it all comes down to your own personal preferences.

The truth is that The Pelt is not as aggressive as some of the other fuzz pedals available on the market. It’s a versatile, smooth and more touch-sensitive, so it may not be ideal for everyone.

The only thing that you can complain about in this case is the price – it’s not a cheap pedal. At the same time, considering how good it actually is, it’s definitely worth every cent!

My Thoughts About It

As I mentioned before, a couple of months ago I decided to add this pedal to my own pedalboard. I have to admit that it was a really good decision! It sounds particularly great with a guitar equipped in a pair of powerful humbuckers.

I tried a lot of different fuzz pedals made by such brands as JHS, Behringer, JOYO and TC Electronic, but The Pelt quickly became one of my favorites. It’s not that expensive and it’s super versatile – and that’s why I love it!

I have no hesitation in recommending this Fender fuzz pedal to all guitarists who are looking for a reliable and great sounding silicon fuzz effect. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
