If you’re looking for easy beginner songs for ukulele, you’re in the right place. As an advanced musician, I know how difficult it is to start your musical journey. You bought the ukulele and.. now what? How to make progress and where to find all the songs? Well, trust me. I’ve been there. That’s why I created Best Guitars Now! I want to help other musicians and share my knowledge and resources with them. Hence, I created a list of 66 really simple songs that you can practice on your ukulele. I’m absolutely sure that once you learn at least half of them, your overall playing skill will be so much better. Why don’t you accept my challenge and try to learn a new song every day?

Easy Beginner Songs For The Ukulele – What’s the fastest way to learn?

As you can see, there are a lot of amazing songs that you can play. Whether you’re a beginner or a more advanced player, playing these songs will certainly be fun. Nevertheless, it is important to know how to learn efficiently.

1. Choose The Best And Most Affordable Instrument.

Firstly, it’s crucial to practice on a good instrument. For example, if your ukulele has a high string action, it can be really uncomfortable. As a result, you can get easily discouraged and give up on learning new songs. That’s why I highly recommend choosing good and reputable guitars and ukuleles. If you haven’t seen my previous article, feel free to check out my recommendations on concert and soprano ukuleles. Alternatively, if you’re looking for a slightly larger ukulele, you should consider gettin a tenor or baritone instrument. Here’s my list of the best tenor ukuleles.

2. Learn The Basics.

Start with the basic theory. You need to know the string names. What’s more, you need to know how to hold the ukulele. In addition, you should be able to tune your ukulele on your own. Once you learn this basic stuff, you should move on to learning basic chords and melodies. Here’s a great guide that explains the basics of ukulele strumming techniques. I highly recommend taking a minute and watching the video below. You will learn a lot of new things in these seven minutes!

3. Practice, Practice, Practice.

We all know that practice makes perfect. The truth is brutal – you won’t become an advanced ukulele player in a few days. This stuff takes time. Nevertheless, I’m sure that you can do it totally on your own and without any lessons. As a matter of fact, I’m a self-taught guitarist. It’s really possible to become an advanced musician without spending money on courses and guitar teachers. In my opinion, it’s all in your head. Hence, the right mindset is crucial. I highly recommend sticking to a routine, for example practicing at least 3 times a week. Try to do it regularly without any breaks. You can also record yourself to monitor your progress. In fact, you’ll be amazed how quickly you developed your skills. There’s nothing more motivating than seeing your progress on video!

4. Learn A Lot Of Songs.

I think that it’s absolutely key to keep on learning new songs. The more songs you learn, the more chords you know. As a result, you also know more strumming patterns. You will see that most of songs actually follow the same strumming pattern. What’s more, you will be able to play hundreds or even thousands of songs with only four chords. Undoubtedly, learning new songs is the best thing that you can do. I highly recommend learning tracks from start to finish!

5. Be Patient.

Remember that this is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. It’s impossible to become a pro in a few weeks. In fact, there will be days when your fingers will hurt a lot and you will fell really discouraged. Nevertheless, don’t give up. Your progress will be a result of your patience. Trust me, in a few months you will be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G on the ukulele compared to today. You just have to stay patient and organised.
