If you’re wondering if Dowina guitars are good guitars or not, don’t worry – you’re in the right place! I used a few of their guitars throughout the last few years and I feel like I’m in a good place to share my thoughts with you. Their guitars seem really interesting, but are the actually worth the money?

Absolutely! Guitars made by Dowina offer an amazing sound quality and they’re not overly expensive. Although this brand is not as popular as some of the major players in the game (like Fender or Martin), their gear is an excellent choice for all-level players. In my opinion, this is one of the most underrated guitar brands in the world.

Let’s dive deeper with research and find out what makes these guitars so special. I’ll also tell you why my Dowina DCE-111S is one of my favorite guitars of all time! This is not a sponsored article, but if anyone from Dowina is reading that – I’d love to test out some of your guitars on my YouTube Channel 😉

My Experience With Dowina

I bought my first Dowina guitar back in 2013 – it was the DCE 111-S model. The guitar is simply fantastic and I think that it sounds even better than it did in the past. I have a lot of great memories with this guitar, such as going busking for the first time or playing my first live gigs.

Here’s a quick sound sample of the Dowina DCE 111-S so feel free to check it out. Also, if you’d like to support my work, go to my YouTube channel and click the subscribe button – it will welp my channel grow!

As you can see, the guitar sounds really cool and resonant. A lot of people asked me about this guitar when I was playing small acoustic gigs in the past and to be honest, no one heard about this brand. Not many people know about their existence, but their gear certainly impresses people. You can find more information about this model on the official website of Dowina.

I also had the pleasure to test out a few of guitars of their Antique Series (Puella, Danubius) and Vintage Series (Chardonnay). All of these guitars were amazing – overall, the quality of Dowina guitars is remarkable There’s also the Master Series, which features their most expensive instruments, but I never had the chance to play on these yet.

Undoubtedly, in comparison with some of the high-end Martin or Taylor guitars, the models manufactured by Dowina aren’t worse. I had a few really good Martin’s in my hands throughout the years and to be honest, I think that the Slovakian guitars can sound actually better.

Which Dowina Guitars Are The Best?

As I mentioned earlier, the company offers three series of guitars: Antique, Vintage and Master Series. The Antique Series is perfect for people who are just starting out – this kind of gear is really affordable. On the other hand, the Vintage Series is slightly more expensive, but it features even better quality. The Master Series is recommended for professional musicians.

It is really tough to choose the best models – all of them are really cool! Out of my experience, their guitars are really easy and comfortable to play, so no matter which model you decide to get, you won’t be disappointed.

The vast majority of Dowina guitars is perfect for playing fingerstyle music. The reason is simple – these guitars sound really nice and warm, especially when you’re playing with your fingers. Dowina uses the best tone woods available on the market, which significantly improves the overall quality of their tone. In addition, each of their instruments is individually crafted by their experienced luthiers.

Used By Professional Musicians

It is worth mentioning that Dowina guitars are used by some of the best and most popular guitarists, especially in Slovakia. The list of musicians who use their gear includes such musicians as Juraj Burian, Dave Cousins, Sima Martausova, Juraj Hnilica, Caroline Hitland or Luka Sraka.

Undoubtedly, Dowina is one of the most interesting and underrated European manufacturers of guitars. If you’re considering buying their guitars, you won’t regret it. I think that the quality of their instruments is comparable with some of the most expensive Martin’s. And that says a lot, because Martin Guitars are also exceptional!

I’m a big fan of Dowina guitars and I’ll be really happy to keep on using their gear in the future. And if you’re wondering if their guitars are worth it, trust me – you won’t be disappointed.
