1. Squier Affinity Jazzmaster
One of the cheapest and the best sounding guitars on the market right now. I own that model and I have to admit that at this price it will be tough to find something better. The guitar is equipped with two quality humbuckers which offer a really punchy and raw tone that works well for rock and alternative genres. In addition, the guitar looks beautiful from the outside too! The only disadvantage is the lack of the tremolo bar. It may not be that big of a deal for less experienced players, although for me it’s a pretty serious issue. I just love Jazzmasters with a tremolo! Still, the guitar offers remarkable quality at a really cheap price. I highly recommend checking it out!

2. Fender Player Jazzmaster
One of the most popular Jazzmasters manufactured by Fender right now. This Mexican-made model has everything you need: beautiful aesthetics, unique tone and exceptional attention to detail. In opposite to the previous model offered by Squier, this guitar has an iconic 6-saddle vintage tremolo tailpiece. On top of that, it has a really comfortable modern C-shaped maple neck. In my opinion, it’s a perfect option for both beginner and intermediate guitarists. The versatility in terms of its sound is simply amazing – whether you like jazz, indie, rock or grunge, you will definitely be satisfied.

3. Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster
There is something really special about that model, which is a signature of a famous guitarist J. Mascis (Dinosaur Jr). The combination of golden hardware and white body makes this guitar look very elegant and luxurious. But in fact, it’s one of the cheaper guitars on today’s list. How cool is that? What’s more, this Jazzmaster features an extraordinary tone thanks to the two single-coil Jazzmaster pickups. Whether you’re into a lot of overdrive and distortion or crystal clear tones, this model will be perfect for you. In my opinion, it’s one of the best guitar that Squier has ever produced.

4. Fender Vintera Jazzmaster
One of the best mid-shelf guitar manufactured by Fender. This Mexican-made Jazzmaster will be ideal for enthusiasts of vintage aesthetics. The Vintera series includes guitars heavily inspired by the 60’s and 70’s vibes, both in terms of sound and appearance. Although it’s the most expensive Jazzmaster on today’s list, it’s definitely worth it. The guitar has an alder body, a maple mid-60’s C-shaped neck and a classic Jazzmaster floating tremolo. It’s really tough to become disappointed with this guitar in your hands. I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you’re a more advanced guitarist.

5. Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazzmaster
This model is often compared to a more expensive Fender Player Jazzmaster. To be honest, both guitars offer a similar quality. If you don’t care about having a Fender logo on your headstock, the Classic Vibe Jazzmaster might actually be a better option. It’s really tough to find something better at this price level. The guitar has everything that a classic Jazzmaster needs: two Jazzmaster pickups, a tremolo and a really comfortable neck. Undoubtedly, it will be perfect choice who don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a new guitar. Think how many guitar pedals you can buy for the money saved up by choosing this Squier!

6. Squier Contemporary Active HH Jazzmaster
Something for fans of metal! Although Jazzmaster guitars are not often associated with this genre, this specific model will be perfect for fast melodic solos and fat riffs. Why? Well, Squier decided to equip this guitar with two SQR ceramic pickups that produce high-output and modern tone. As a result, this Jazzmaster is ideal for crunchy rhythms and screaming metal solos. In addition, the guitar looks spectacular from the outside. That matching headstock and the mix of surf pearl color with black hardware definitely draws a lot of attention. If you’re looking for a guitar that sounds and looks absolutely amazing, you should definitely consider choosing that Contemporary Active Jazzmaster.
