Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster
Firstly, let’s start with one of the most controversial guitars on the market right now. You can either hate or love this model, no doubt. The American Acoustasonic Stratocaster embodies the spirit of innovation. It features a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, which result with a really versatile and warm tone. What’s more, it’s also equipped with patented SIRS (Stringed Instrument Resonance System). Fender is an absolute leader of guitar manufacturers. To be honest, I feel like this modern axe is just fantastic. Whether you like its appearance or not, you have to admit that it sounds great. For some people it might be the best acoustic guitar under 2000 USD. Here’s a short sample below. What do you think?
Martin D-15M – My Choice – The Best Acoustic Guitar Under 2000 USD
Oh, wow. Martin Guitars. The most reputable American manufacturers of acoustic guitars in the world. There is something special about them. What’s more, their instruments are widely used by the most influential guitarists in history. Think about Elvis, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. Or Johnny Cash. Even The Beatles! As you can imagine, their guitars are truly unique. That’s why I highly recommend the D-15M model. This guitar is fully made of mahogany wood. If you’re into that sweet and warm mahogany sound, you will definitely be satisfied. It sounds and looks a little bit vintage as well. This guitar will be ideal for folk musicians or singer-songwriters. Who knows, maybe the next Bob Dylan is reading this? Indeed, I highly recommend this guitar. In my opinion, this is the best acoustic guitar under 2000 USD.
Takamine TSP138C
This Japanese guitar is another great example of a top quality instrument. It features a solid spruce top and sapele back and sides. Its slender neck made of mahogany offers a really comfortable feeling. What I also like about this guitar is that it comes with a semi-hard case. In terms of sound, the warmth and clarity will be ideal for players who enjoy fingerpicking and strumming. In addition, the guitar also sounds great through an amplifier. Due to the fact that it’s equipped with modern CT-3N electronics, playing live gigs will be simply pleasant. I truly recommend it to both beginner and intermediate players. What’s more, the guitar is also available in a really eye-pleasing gloss tobacco sunburst color. Looks good, right? Great guitar!
Guild D-20
This is definitely one of my favorite acoustic guitars. I had the pleasure to test it in the past and it felt amazing. In addition, in comparison with other guitars on my list, this one is really affordable. The guitar is made of solid mahogany wood (that includes top, back and sides). It is also worth mentioning that the D-20 model is absolutely legendary. Guild Guitars introduced this model in 1968. Pretty long time ago, huh?
This is a truly vintage guitar equipped with modern electronics. If you’re a fan of 60’s and 70’s recordings, this guitar will be ideal for you. The mahogany wood offers a stunning sound quality. It can be described as warm, clear and resonant. Hence, I highly recommend it to every lover of vintage and retro sounds. Here’s a sound sample if you’re interested. With this model, Guild offers the best guitar quality and what’s more, it’s under 2000 USD. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Taylor 312CE
Another absolutely stunning guitar. This Taylor features a Grand Concert shape. The guitar has a solid spruce top and body and back made of sapele wood. What’s interesting, the manufacturer decided to use tropical mahogany wood as a neck material and west African ebony wood as a fingerboard. This unusual combination results with an extraordinary sound. Although it’s expensive, this guitar is definitely worth. I highly recommend it to intermediate musicians who want to achieve the best possible acoustic guitar sound. In addition, this instrument will also be great for fingerstyle players. If you’re one of them, feel free to check out my other top recommendations on the fingerstyle guitars. Nevertheless, if you’re a beginner and you have a budget of this size, starting your musical journey with this Taylor would be truly magical. Perfect guitar!
Deluxe KLOS – Is It The Best Acoustic Guitar Under 2000 USD?
This model is really unusual and innovative. Can you guess from what kind of material it’s made? Did you say spruce? Wrong! It’s actually made of carbon fiber. The guitar sounds very resonant, loud and rich. Looks great too. Personally, I would not recommend this guitar for beginners. If you’re starting, it’s better to stick to the classic wooden acoustic guitars. The beauty of it is that it’s absolutely durable. You don’t have to worry about it getting hurt. Is it the best acoustic guitar under 2000 dollars? I don’t know. Most likely no one knows the answer for that question! It’s highly subjective. Nevertheless, this guitar definitely deserves more recognition among the community of guitarists. Check out the sound sample below. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
Yamaha AC5R
This Yamaha model looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. I really like that unusual black pickguard. It reminds me a bit of the Epiphone Hummingbird. The guitar features a mix of solid spruce top with rosewood body and back. What’s more, it also has a really comfortable mahogany neck. It’s a guitar made specifically for advanced players for playing live. The concert-sized cutaway shape offers exceptionally enjoyable playing experience. If you’re looking for a top quality guitar for live and studio gigs, this model will be perfect for you. I highly recommend it to all of the advanced players.
Breedlove Oregon
Breedlove may not be as popular as Fender or Yamaha, but their quality and attention to detail is absolutely amazing. This elegant and exceptional guitar features a combination of spruce top with myrtlewood body and back. On top of that, the mahogany neck offers a stunningly comfortable feeling. What’s interesting, from what I’ve read, the manufacturer uses sustainable materials from the Pacific Northwest. The attention to detail truly pays off, because the guitar presents itself really special. In terms of sound, it has a perfect bass resonance and a really warm, clear sound. Looking for something special? Try Breedlove.
Washburn WCG66SCE
Absolutely amazing guitar. This stunning model is totally made of mahogany. The Grand Auditorium shape makes this guitar very loud and resonant. At the same time, the tone is really warm and clear. But to be honest, this remarkable guitar doesn’t need any more of my compliments. It’s definitely a top, if not the best acoustic guitar worth under 2000 USD. Feel free to see the video below. Sounds amazing, right?
Blueridge BR-183A
Last guitar on my list features a really fancy pickguard. I’m not sure if I like that look, although the guitar offers an exceptional value. The guitar features a solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. This is definitely a guitar made for intermediate players. If you’re looking for a premium guitar made of the best materials in the world, you should check out the BR-183A. In terms of tone, it’s really vintage. The clarity of sound is absolutely superior. This guitar will be great for folk, roots, country and blues music. I highly recommend it to singer-songwriters and soloists who need something remarkable.
