If you’re looking for the best gig bag suitable for Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars, you’re in the right place! In today’s article, we’re going to highlight a few of the best cases for these guitars. As an experienced guitar player, I know how tough it is to find a good soft case for an offset guitar. That’s why you need to get a gig bag made specifically for this guitar body type. But don’t worry – we got you covered! There is a few good gig bags out there and they are actually not that expensive.
Here’s a few options that you can consider while looking for the best gig bag for a Jazzmaster or a Jaguar. 1. Fender FEJ-610
Absolutely great and affordable gig bag made specifically for Jaguars, Jazzmasters and Starcasters. As I mentioned earlier, I’m using it on a daily basis and I’m really satisfied with its quality. Certainly, Fender did a fantastic job that won’t leave you disappointed. I think that it’s the best gig bag for Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitars that you can possibly get.
It’s made of polyester and it’s very soft inside. In addition, there’s a little bit of storage space and it’s really comfortable to carry.

2. Gator GB-4G-JMASTER
Another really good, although slightly more expensive gig bag produced by Gator. For those who are not familiar with this brand, they are one of the leading manufacturers of top quality soft and hard guitar cases.
The case is pretty similar to the previous one offered by Fender, although it seems to have a little bit of more storage space for strings and other guitar accessories. This model is also really soft inside and it will definitely keep your guitar safe from any smaller scratch or damage. If you don’t like the FEJ-610, I highly recommend checking out this model instead.
3. Gator GBE-JMASTER
This gig bag is a little bit less expensive than the other two, but at least in my opinion – it won’t be the best choice if you’re looking for a maximum protection. Overall, it’s a good and affordable soft case just to move around with your guitar, but it’s way thinner than the rest.
I think it will be a good choice if you’re not actively traveling with your Jazzmaster or Jaguar. If you just want to put the to your car and drive to your next guitar lesson, this model will be more than enough. But if you want to take a bus or walk through town (which can potentially put your guitar into a more dangerous zone), I think that you’ll be safer with two previous cases.
FAQ
Are gig bags waterproof?
Most of top quality gig bags are waterproof, but to be honest – any soft case with zippers can potentially leak. The risk is generally really low, but in case of flood it may not be the best solution. Although the manufacturers tend to use good materials (such as polyester) that protect guitars from water very well, the zipper part will most likely not stop water from pouring in in extreme situations.
Don’t worry though – these situations are extremely rare and you should be okay with carrying your guitar around in a soft case during a rainy weather. On the other hand, if you’re looking for the best available protection, you may want to search for a good and waterproof hard case.
What is a gig bag used for?
A gig bag is used for transportation and traveling with a guitar. It keeps your guitar protected from any damage. Most often guitarists use them during short trips. Traveling far away with a soft case is not recommended. For any long trips, I highly recommend using a hard case. In that way, you’ll be sure that your guitar is protected as well as it can be.
Are gig bags good?
Yes! But only the ones that offer a high quality. Forget about the cheapest gig bags available online – they are usually super thin and although it seems that they protect your guitar, it’s not the level of safety that you should aim for. If you want to be sure that your guitar is protected well enough, always choose the top quality guitar cases.
How important is a guitar case?
It is not always necessary, but it’s important when you want to move around and keep your guitar safe. You may think that you don’t need it if you just play it at home, but trust me – there will be a day when your guitar will go outside with you. When that day comes, you’ll need a good and reliable gig bag!
